Good luck to you. I’m working hard to see your equal rights realized.
Call me a straight ally all over heterosupremacist bullshit.
Take care of yourself!

Young man … I just read the article on you in hivplus mag of July/August 07. I am 48 and I’m impressed by what you are aiming for AS WELL AS doing what you have done! Keep it up! Don’t get depressed for long if things don’t appear to be changing overnight or in a year, things really do change, sometimes we don’t see it, but it is happening!
When I was 18, NO ONE would have ever thought we would be where we are today with gay rights, etc. But we are here and still moving on.
May God be surrounding you as you walk through your life and always let the breeze you feel refresh your soul.
I’d stopped reading all blogs connected with Shawn Qt and it was curiousity only that led me to check you out from Boykin’s site.
I left you a comment on your “Can You Tell I’m Angry” blog and would’nt mind hearing back from you, if you care to criticize what I said.
The problem I’ve experienced in the past is that my comments and emails were never acknowledged. You guys are too young to know and respect proper ettiquette. One does not have to engage in long letter writing, only, saying “thank you for the comment you made, I’ll try to get back to you whenever.” is usually all that is needed to keep and hold interst in what you have to say by people other than your immediate circle of friends.
By-thebye, I am a gay black man of 71 years who had one partner (now deceased) with whom I raised a son (father of 1 boy and 2 girls). we have a happy family and I miss my partner every day.

So ive ben following your blog for a little while now, but i just realised when browsing in old posts that you go to hampshire college. i had a little freak out moment, sorry queer kid of color at smith baby. so i was just like woah, it makes it more real. more tangible and less mundane and twilight-esque.
Hey,
I’m Shanel, I wanted to let you know that your blogs are very interesting. I come to your page often to catch up on whats new.
You can always stop by my page at Shanel.Nicole.blogspot.com, and send some feedback my way ~
Nice to meet you, hope to hear from you soon ~
just wanted to say I’m glad you’re out there. I am queer and white, and it’s my feeling that the word “gay” has largely been subsumed into the HRC-following Will & Grace type crowd. Although I am white, I don’t feel part of that. Maybe because I am trans? Or maybe because they seem so exclusive and not welcoming.
Anyway. I used to teach at a H.S. in Brooklyn, where more than 90% of our students were of African American, Latin American, or Caribbean American descent. It was hard to watch the kids who were scared to come out because they knew what their peers would say — and so I applaud you for your courage and your commitment. At that H.S. I was fortunate enough to be reasonably well-trusted by my students, and to be involved in the creation of a GSA… and it is THOSE kids I miss most of all, now that I am no longer in that school or even that city.
So. I will keep following your blog, and I will also keep wishing you well. It is a delight to see a young man taking control of his life this way, and not letting other folks tell him what his identify is or should be.

I saw one of your vids on my friend’s pg. on tagged and well I watched it… it was really cool I like what your doing ….its great and informative btw is less from the caribbean or something cause I hear St lucian in his voice, oh Im from Trinidad and Tobago sooo his voice comes across not very native to the states…. btw Manny you are gorgeous! and well les also lol

Bye!
You are growing into a beautiful, extraordinary man, and I want you to know that I admire and respect the work you have done with your blog. Unfortunately, I’ve found you too late. You have already ceased blogging. I hope that you are able to actualize all of your dreams and everything else that your heart desires. Thank you for existing in the world. And from one urban, young black man to another, I love you. Thank you so much.
Hello everyone, I'm still working on my short film for the second year. Thus far I have been able to produce some clips through self financing as well as through grants and individual donors. My mission in producing this project is to showcase an invisible demographic which is cleary being ignored and underrepresented: queer youth of color. Please help by contributing a small amount to the project.

Hi Steven,
Is that silly queens/spiteful gays post about me?!? It’d better not be!!! I certainly do hate on your conservatism — but I love YOU!
Write to me.
