BOSTON — Police are searching for a suspect who stabbed a twenty-year-old man last Thursday.
Daniel Yakovleff, a popular hairstylist at Liquid Hair Salon in Boston’s South End, was found stabbed to death in his Dorchester apartment last Thursday.
Friends believe that Yakovleff may have been targeted for being gay.
“We feel that if this had happened to a white twenty-year-old female, this would have been front page news,” Carry Mann, Yakovleff’s friend, said. “Why isn’t the gay community being warned about this?”
Yakovleff was last seen leaving “The Eagle” bar, a South End gay bar, earlier that evening. His body was found the following morning.
Friends describe Yakovleff as a positive person with a great personality.
“He had a very bright future,” Mann said. “It’s a tragedy that this has happened.”
Police say that they have questioned one person of interest; however that received very little information. It is believed that this incident was not random.
Hypothetically speaking, if I’m hanging out with someone this weekend {since I will be in NYC} that I like {and he too likes me} and we have been talking for a while, should I finally go in for the kiss? Or should I wait it out a little longer….I mean it’s only been two months…
Ok, all you queens need to sit down and relax. I’ve been hearing rumors about Jensen Atwood not returning to Noah’s Arc, and I’m putting all that shyt to rest! A few months ago I spoke to the LOGO publicist who told me Jensen Atwood will be reprising his role as Wade. Unless Patrik Ian Polk decided to take the Wade character out of the script, Jensen Atwood will continue to play him. A few weeks ago I was told not everyone will be coming back…You can figure that on your own.
P.S. Wilson Cruz will be returning to play the character Junito, as I’ve been told by another source.

A few days ago I wrote a posting on B Boy Blues the movie stating that the film will be heading into production this February. Soon thereafter I took down the posting wanting confirmation. Unfortunately, the film won’t be going into production until the writer’s strike is over. So until then sink yourselves into the well written and critically acclaimed novels of one my personal heroes James Earl Hardy.
But don’t despair, the writer’s strike could be over anytime soon, the Writers Guild of America have gone back into contract negotiations. So who knows production might begin soon…not quite…the lead characters have yet to be cast…
Which is a little eerie, because GBM News reported that the film began filming last fall in Brooklyn… I will try to keep you all abreeze with new developments.

Am I the only who thinks that Janet Jackson’s feedback video sucks? Seriously…what the heck. I love her. But after finally having people shove her music video down my throat I had to take a peek for myself. I. Was. Not. Impress. My mother could have directed a better music video, and she aint even a filmmaker! And the song? Don’t you even get me started! How the hell is she dancing on the moon? How much money did she pay NASA to get her and a film crew up there? And better yet, how did she survive without a oxygen mask? There are things us regular people can’t do, that celebs can. Shyt Britney Spears was able to go to Mars for her Oops! I did it again video.
Hello everyone, I'm still working on my short film for the second year. Thus far I have been able to produce some clips through self financing as well as through grants and individual donors. My mission in producing this project is to showcase an invisible demographic which is cleary being ignored and underrepresented: queer youth of color.
